Coltogum External joints

Sealing of heavily stressed expansion joints in indoor and outdoor areas. Sealing and waterproofing of single-pane and insulating glass in wooden and metal frames, as well as sealing of concrete, panels, parapets, sealing and bonding of metals and plastics, shipbuilding, and automotive construction. Joint sealing in precast concrete construction and connection joints at window and door frames. Not suitable for natural stone and aquariums.

Application: Apply only to clean and grease-free surfaces. Use Coltogum Primer 1 on absorbent surfaces. For plastics, Coltogum Primer 2 should be used. Depending on the quality of the plastics, preliminary tests should be conducted. When using a primer, its drying time must be observed. The sealant is compatible with a variety of common paint systems after thorough curing. A compatibility test should be conducted before starting work. Paints have only limited elasticity and may crack if fully coated. Excellent adhesion even on damp substrates.

Consumption/Dosage: The material consumption depends on the dimensions of the joint. For joints under 10 mm: joint width to joint depth approximately 1:1 (not suitable for movement joints). For joints over 10 mm: joint width to joint depth approximately 2:1. Calculation formula: joint width (mm) x joint depth (mm) = approximately ml/lm.
