Boxexpert Control cabinet

It is easy to handle and very quick to install. The Fleet series offers an alternative to sheet steel wall-mounted cabinets. Sheet steel control cabinets are often expensive to purchase and are very heavy. This frequently leads to additional costs, both in terms of logistics and handling. Whilst sheet steel cabinets are usually essential for EMC-critical applications, in many cases they can be dispensed with. The Fleet series control cabinets from Boxexpert offer a plastic alternative. The wall-mounted enclosure is made from very lightweight acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS for short), which results in a weight saving of around 50% for the same enclosure size. Despite its lower mass, the Fleet enclosure series proves to be a robust alternative and has an impact resistance rating of IK08. ABS plastic exhibits high resistance to alkalis, oils and salts. Unlike metal control cabinets, the Fleet series has the advantage of being resistant to corrosive conditions without the need for any additional coating on the enclosure surface. Outdoor use in particular requires effective sealing of the electronic components against external influences. The plastic enclosures in the Fleet series feature a foamed polyurethane (PU) seal. The PUR seal is low-wear and resistant to weathering and ageing. The polyurethane proves to be elastic and durable even when the control cabinet door is operated frequently. In addition to the properties of the ABS plastic, the enclosure seal also ensures an IP65 protection rating. The enclosure is therefore suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The enclosures in the Boxexpert Fleet series feature a hinged door, available in either grey or transparent.
