The Forstner bit has an excellent lifespan when drilling precision holes. The serrated design reduces friction and heat, leading to increased durability. The short centering tip of the precision drill features two main cutting edges and a peripheral cutting edge (serrated) for accurate results. The large chip-free zones, which allow for optimized chip removal, further enhance the drill's rapid drilling precision. It enables smooth, splinter-free drilling of blind holes as well as drilling on edges and slopes, for example, for the installation of hinges, doweling, or removing knot holes.
