Starting current
I would like to buy a jump starter for our VW bus, because we have a flat battery every now and then... Do I have to look at the number of amps for the engine or the installed starter battery? We have a T4 Caravelle Tdi 2.5 syncro (i.e. 2.5l diesel) and the starting battery is a Varta 100Ah and 830A is also written on it... Many manufacturers state, for example, that the jump starter starts 4l diesel without problems, but only have 800A peak current. Which specifications are important for me? Life as a layman is difficult... ;) Thanks for any advice and hopefully I will never need this part! :P
