I have it in my cellar. You'd probably have to protect it from the weather outside, because the foam pads will probably get damaged over time.

I do keep it indoors. As long as the place is mostly dry and somewhat protected from UV radiation, it should not suffer more outside than inside. I would cover the cushions directly in the weather and over time it would rust a little. The important thing is that it needs to be at a height of approx. 2.4 m (the head goes above the unit in the case of lifts).
