Just a question, is the ES2l simply the same as the ES2 but with a software clamp in order to be homologated in Switzerland? Or are the engine and materials different?
Hello, apparently the motor is not the same on the ES2 Lite (250W) as on the ES2 (300W). It's not just an official restriction, the motor is different... at least that's what I read on the forums. Now, to unclamp the ES2 Lite, I tested with the known tools (online generator), but it doesn't work. The firmware (with speed set to 30 km/h) is sent to the ES2 Lite by bluetooth, but it's a disaster, the scooter only goes at 14 km/h and has no more power! So to avoid... I put back the basic firmware. Did you manage to gain speed on your side (on the ES2 Lite)? If so, how did you do it? Thanks for your news ;-)
I ordered both and the only difference is the software. Indeed, it is limited. According to Segway Switzerland, it can be unlocked, but they never answered me about the price despite 3 reminders.
