To release the pinch position after a fall or break, the lowering lever is operated, allowing either to continue climbing up or to lower the partner. A progressive adjustment of the rope flow with the lever enables a smooth and comfortable lowering of the climbing partner. The Petzl belay device consists of two side pieces that slide apart for rope insertion. Instructions on how to insert the rope are depicted both inside and outside the Neox.
