The robust carcass and EXO material protect against damage from rocks and roots, while the butyl insert safeguards the tire from pressure points and prevents rim damage.

The tire comes from a long line of XC tires that have already been successful in World Cup races. The RekonRace was able to impress as a prototype almost a year before its official launch with Nino Schurter in Mont Saint-Anne. This fast semi-slick tire has a similar profile to the all-round XC tire Rekon, but features smaller and lower knobs. It can be used as a rear tire paired with a more heavily treaded tire like the Rekon or Ikon at the front.
