1. Maxxis Assegai WT TR DD 2x120TPI 3C Grip
After more than two years of development, the Maxxis Assegai is finally here. Greg Minnaar's signature tire embodies the essence of his 30 years of racing experience combined with Maxxis's expertise from over 50 years of tire production. The Assegai is a blend of the Minion DHF, Minion DHR II, and the HighRoller, designed from the best Maxxis profiles.
Double Down tires are constructed like downhill tires: two casing layers reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. With two 120 TPI casing layers and an aramid bead, they are significantly lighter than downhill tires, while being more stable and robust than TR and EXO tires, making them ideal for tough enduro courses.
The well-known 3C downhill compound, trusted by many top downhill riders for years, is now called 3C MaxxGrip. 3C MaxxGrip offers ultimate grip and excellent damping properties for unparalleled traction on downhill runs.
Tubeless tires have many advantages: you can ride with lower air pressure, which results in better traction and reduced rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other tubeless-ready tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a true UST tubeless tire. This ensures that tubeless mounting is successful on all standard-sized rims right from the first inflation with minimal liquid.
Included: single tire. E-bike compatibility: no manufacturer recommendation. Casing density: 120 TPI. Tire size in inches: 29 x 2.50 inches. Tire size ETRTO in mm: 63 - 622.

2. Maxxis Minion DHR II WT TR DD 120TPI 3C Terra
Minion DHR II
With its completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity riding. Featuring side knobs from the legendary DHF, which have been slightly widened for improved cornering grip, it offers exceptional cornering stability. The center knobs have angled shapes for better acceleration. Notches on the knobs enhance the transition when leaning into corners. Some of the center knobs have a paddle shape that digs in during hard braking, helping to keep the bike under control.

3. Maxxis Minion DHR II WT TR DD 2x120TPI 3C Terra
With its completely new profile design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity riding. Featuring side knobs from the legendary DHF, which have been slightly widened for improved cornering grip, it offers extreme cornering stability. The center knobs have beveled edges for better acceleration. Notches on the knobs enhance the transition when entering corners. Part of the center knobs has a paddle shape that digs in during hard braking, helping to keep the bike under control.
Extreme cornering grip, beveled center knobs for better acceleration, and excellent braking performance are the standout features of this tire. Doubledown tires are constructed like our downhill tires: two casing layers reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. With two 120 TPI (instead of 60 TPI) casing layers and an aramid bead, they are significantly lighter.

4. Maxxis Minion DHR II TR EXO+ 120TPI 3C Terra
With its completely new profile design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity riding. Featuring side knobs from the legendary DHF that have been slightly widened for even better cornering grip, it offers extreme cornering stability. The center knobs have angled shapes for improved acceleration. Notches on the knobs enhance the transition when leaning into corners. Some of the center knobs have a paddle shape, which digs in during hard braking and helps keep the bike under control.
The new EXO+ construction combines two excellent puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tire from bead to bead, while the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Tires with EXO+ protection are designed for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing, and are particularly suited for the higher torque and weight of e-MTBs. The freeride version of the 3C tires offers significantly more grip and traction due to softer compounds, while maintaining acceptable rolling resistance, allowing for good climbing before the thrilling descent, with a long lifespan.
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with lower air pressure, which provides better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures decreases. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, similar to a true UST tubeless tire. This ensures that tubeless mounting on all standard-sized rims is successful right from the first inflation with minimal liquid.
Delivery includes: single tire. E-bike compatibility: no manufacturer recommendation. Dense carcass fabric: 120 TPI. Tire size in inches: 27.5 x 2.60 inches. Tire size ETRTO in mm: 66 - 584.

5. Maxxis Minion DHR II WT TR EXO+ 120TPI 3C Terra
With its completely new profile design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity riding. Featuring side knobs from the legendary DHF that have been slightly widened for improved cornering grip, it offers exceptional cornering stability. The center knobs have angled shapes for better acceleration. Notches on the knobs enhance the transition when leaning into corners. Some of the center knobs have a paddle shape, which digs in during hard braking and helps keep the bike under control.
Wide Trail Casing: The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the profile layout and tire shape for today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed for narrow rims and take on a too-angular shape on wider rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm but perform excellently on all rims with an inner measurement between 30 and 39 mm.
EXO+ Protection: Our new EXO+ construction combines two of our best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tire from bead to bead, while the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Together, EXO+ offers the following advantages: 27% better puncture protection on the tread, 51% more stable sidewalls, and 8% more impact protection.
3C Maxx Terra: The right 3C compound for your enduro and freeride tires. This compound is characterized by easy rolling uphill as well as excellent grip downhill, along with a long lifespan.

6. Maxxis Assegai EXO+
Exo+ is Maxxis' medium-weight puncture protection option, suitable for all-round trail riding and light e-bikes. It starts with a durable 60 TPI casing, complemented by our legendary EXO puncture protection layer in the sidewalls, and is topped with a small butyl insert around the bead. The robust carcass and EXO material protect against damage from rocks and roots, while the butyl insert safeguards the tire from pressure points and prevents rim damage.

7. Maxxis Rekon Race WT TR EXO 120TPI Dual
The tire comes from a long line of XC tires that have already been successful in World Cup races. The RekonRace was able to impress as a prototype almost a year before its official launch with Nino Schurter in Mont Saint-Anne. This fast semi-slick tire has a similar profile to the all-round XC tire Rekon, but features smaller and lower knobs. It can be used as a rear tire paired with a more heavily treaded tire like the Rekon or Ikon at the front. Alternatively, it can also be used both front and rear for short track races and light, fast racing courses.
The extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is tightly woven, lightweight, and flexible, ensuring consistent performance of the tires. Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip, with the arrangement of the compounds planned according to the desired characteristics of the tires.
E-bike compatibility: without manufacturer recommendation. Intended use: MTB. Wheel size: 29 inches. Delivery includes: single tire. Tire size ETRTO in mm: 62-622. Design: folding tire.
