The Filante SLR is an extremely lightweight aerodynamic racing bike that significantly improves the ratio of torsional stiffness to weight. The bike is used by the athletes of the Groupama - FDJ Cycling Team. The Filante SLR has been designed to achieve maximum aerodynamics under real-world conditions. The analysis is based on data measured in the wind tunnel, while also considering real-world factors. This way, we not only evaluate the typical data from the wind tunnel but also take into account the turbulence in the real world that affects the bike for various reasons. For this reason, we have redesigned the profiles. We started with the NACA/KAMM standard but avoided blunt cuts at the rear. Rounded edges provide better performance, even when the airflow is disturbed. The inside of the fork has been enlarged by 7 mm, making it 13.6% wider than the fork of the Cento10PRO. We have removed the fork blades from the bike to reduce turbulence and improve aerodynamics.
