Velo Orange Left Bank

In designing the Left Bank handlebar, we let our creativity flow a bit. It measures a full 49 cm in width, which is 7 cm wider than a traditional French handlebar, yet still narrower than many British and American handlebars. The grips are slightly angled outward to appeal to the more adventurous cyclist. Given its radical design, it can only be called the Left Bank handlebar, named after the Parisian district, the Quartier Latin on the left bank of the Seine, which was historically inhabited by students and leftist philosophers. The stem clamp has a diameter of 25.4 mm and is curved and uncoated to prevent squeaking. The reach is approximately 18 cm with a rise of 7 cm. The grip length is 16 cm, with a backsweep of 53 degrees. Made of polished alloy, it weighs 300 g. This handlebar has a tube diameter of 22.2 mm in mountain bike size (the clamp area is 25.4 mm). Handlebars with a diameter of 22.2 mm (MTB size) are compatible with MTB brake levers and clamp-on shifters. They do not work with bar-end shifters. The only compatible levers are Dia Compe levers in size 22.2 mm.
