Usage

The SEQ Soft Touch spurs are characterized by a secure and comfortable fit thanks to offset strap eyes. They are finished with flexible and break-resistant stainless steel.

Material

All stainless steels share the characteristic that a chromium content of at least 12% is added to the steel alloy. When in contact with oxygen from surrounding media (air, water, other substances), a thin, transparent layer of chromium oxide, only a few atomic layers thick, forms on the steel surface. This process is also referred to as "passivation." This layer protects the underlying steel from further chemical influences.

In the event of surface damage, this passive layer regenerates itself under the influence of oxygen. The reformation of the passive layer can easily be referred to as "self-healing" or a "self-repair mechanism." Thus, regrinding stainless steel is always possible.
