The handcrafted classic from Thun, known as Käferli or Gubler spoon, is available in a weighted version for throwing in lakes and rivers or in an unweighted version for trolling. It is common to add a nugget, twister, or similar lure to the hook. Many also swear by garnishing the Käferli with a few meat maggots.
