Product details

Knee-friendly: The new active pedal Freiheit starts at the foot. Previous studies have shown that allowing axial rotation of 10° with clipless pedals can reduce the potential for overload injuries in the knees. This assumption was investigated as part of a master's thesis, leading to the development of the 502 active system pedal for trekking cyclists: the first active pedal on the market designed for a knee-friendly, ergonomic foot position. The SQlab 502 active pedal is the first city pedal with lateral freedom of movement while still providing good grip. Four different axle lengths ensure a physiologically natural foot position on the pedal. This prevents unilateral strain, especially in cases of fibular head syndrome.

  • The first active pedal on the market
  • Knee-friendly
  • STVZO approval (including reflectors)
  • 4 axle lengths for a natural foot position.
