We subjected the shoe to two tests: complete immersion in water for over 6 hours and 30,000 bends in water, without any water penetration. This allows you to march worry-free in the rain. Even when it’s not raining, the ground can be wet. So don’t forget your gaiters or waterproof pants! Otherwise, your pants will soak up water, which in turn will wet your socks and give you wet feet. Also, consider a good pair of socks like the ACT 100 Solognac for more comfort, and keep your toenails well-trimmed, as they can damage the inside of the shoes and allow water to enter. Nothing is easier to care for than this boot. Simply wash the shoe with soap and water, and do not use grease or cleaning agents. Apply the NIKWAX waterproofing spray to reactivate the water-repellent properties of the leather and fabric. To protect the individual components, do not dry the boots near a heat source.
