The Kairiki G5 is a new addition in 2021 to Shimano's line of braids, offering you an innovative design. It consists of four identical strands and one different strand, giving you a 5-strand braid with unique properties. The 5th strand, which is braided into the center of the 4 strands, is stronger and heavier.
This means that the entire braid sinks faster through the water column. Additionally, it is easier to cut through the wind, allowing you to make good casts even in bad weather. You will also eliminate part of the belly phenomenon associated with the current.
