Delta Core-V: In the lighter models, Sea to Summit has been able to reduce the weight and volume of the PU foam by 20% using the vertical Delta Coring method. For optimal placement of the Delta Cores, Sea to Summit employs extensive mapping techniques to analyze the pressure zones of the sleeping mats. In the more heavily stressed areas at the shoulders, hips, and feet, the Delta Cores are smaller to ensure a higher level of warmth and comfort. In less stressed areas, more foam is cut out to minimize weight and pack size. The Delta Core-V technology is applied in the Ultralight SI and Camp Mat SI models.
