A bicycle tube designed for high sports performance should ideally meet two conditions perfectly: 1. It should keep the air stable and puncture-proof for a long time. 2. It should be very lightweight!

A conventional butyl tube cannot achieve both simultaneously. Therefore, Schwalbe has taken a different approach. They have completely eliminated traditional black rubber. Instead, Schwalbe, in collaboration with chemical specialists from BASF, has developed a brand new special thermoplastic material for bicycle tubes. It is called AEROTHAN.

AEROTHAN represents a new evolutionary stage. From now on, Schwalbe can produce high-quality bicycle tubes with extremely low weight, while maintaining the same air retention and puncture resistance as conventional butyl tubes. Schwalbe calls the new tubes EVO TUBE. The world's first EVO TUBE is now available for mountain biking.

The weight savings are immense. The EVO TUBE weighs only one-third compared to a standard Schwalbe tube. Even when compared to the Extralight tube, it saves almost half the weight.

Warning! Do not use with rim brakes. Reinstallation only with the same tire size. Repairable with Schwalbe Glueless Patches.
