The F1 WMN from Scarpa offers more comfort, support, and performance than a training or racing shoe. Weighing only 1260 grams, it is significantly lighter than a classic touring shoe, such as the Gea, which weighs around 1400 grams.

The shell is made of carbon-reinforced Grilamid, and the reinforced cuff with the X-Gage shape, along with the stable walk mode lever, maximizes stability while providing a pleasant flex and minimal torsion.

The Boa system allows for a perfect fit over the instep, and the wide buckle on the cuff enables a secure closure together with the removable strap.

The 62-degree cuff rotation may not seem impressive at first glance, but the fact that the cuff operates almost frictionlessly is truly enjoyable. This doesn't mean you have to take huge steps with the shoe. A large cuff rotation primarily offers the advantage of being able to walk steeply even with a relatively flat climbing aid on the binding. This means less fussing and a smoother stride.

The shell does not conform to any binding standard, which means that the F1 WMN is not compatible with frame or hybrid bindings. However, the small protrusion at the toes is perfect for attaching crampons.

So, if you are a classic touring skier or enjoy long tours and value weight as much as powerful descents, you should definitely consider the F1 WMN.
