It's only logical that Scarpa is now pushing into the ski boot market (great word, isn't it?) with all its might, all its grandeur and all its belezza. Well, but what can this Scarpa F1 shoe actually do? Entry It welcomes you: the shell extension improves the entry enormously. It prevents jamming between the tongue and shell and ensures a better fit with more ease. But too much lightness is always the beginning of chaos. That's why Scarpa have opted for a Boa fastening system, which is a kind of garotte. You turn the screw and the effect is enormous. Of course, this garotte closes much earlier. The result is not a strangled foot, but a highly individualised fit that is simply extremely rare. Ascent Ski touring is when you do it yourself. Lifts, lifts, lifts - it's all up to us, we set the route ourselves. The F1 also contributes its article: with a shaft rotation of 62°, the ascent is not a walk to Canossa, but rather an extremely comfortable one. Oehler, Karrer and Erzähler would have loved it. The F1 is also trimmed for low weight, which gives you a further advantage on the ascent. Its stiffness, which never degenerates into clumsiness, does the rest. Take-off And then it has to go down again. Carbon-Tech ensures phenomenal power transmission. The sole remains sensitive even in the binding and is therefore finely tuned for fast turns and racy downhill skiing.
