The Zebru Baselayer is named after a mountain in the Ortler Alps, Monte Zebrù. It is manufactured in Italy, and its main material component is super fine merino wool, which provides optimal warmth performance and moisture wicking while feeling comfortable against the skin. The material transports moisture away from the skin, dries quickly, and improves temperature regulation – this has been scientifically proven. Thus, the Zebru is the ideal choice for intense high-altitude activities in cold weather.

FIR material technology

Our body mapping design helps you stay active longer and have more fun: We have combined merino wool and polyamide fibers with the intelligent synthetic yarns of our Responsive Technology. These yarns contain a unique blend of various thermoreactive minerals. Responsive absorbs the body's far infrared radiation (FIR) and gradually releases it back to the muscle tissue. The result: enhanced blood circulation, increased cell performance, and better oxygen supply. This means you stay warmer for longer, perform better, and recover faster. Good to know: Responsive is a permanent material component and does not wash out.

The Zebru long-sleeve shirt features a close-fitting athletic cut that does not require elastane, and thanks to the polyamide content, it is particularly durable and retains its shape. Our advanced circular knitting process creates the entire upper body from a single piece – providing more comfort without chafing seams. Additionally, the high merino wool content (64%) naturally combats odor formation.
