Award-winning technical precision, lightweight, powerful insulation, optimal protection, and a perfect fit in cold and wet conditions: The Ortles Couloir is our award-winning, innovative, and fully crampon-compatible mountaineering boot for alpine climbing and ice climbing, as well as mixed terrain. Kevlar® and PU provide excellent protection at a low weight. Its understated design and weight of only 725 g make the Ortles Couloir the lightest mountaineering boot in its category. This is made possible by the lightweight yet stable carbon fiber frame. The combination of pressure-molded carbon fibers and reinforced unidirectional polymer fiber composites allows for reduced thickness while maintaining maximum torsional and longitudinal stiffness, strength, and rigidity. The upper part of the frame is additionally reinforced with Kevlar®.
