The Alp Trainer 2 is a progressive hiking boot with a mid-cut upper, a rugged, premium suede and stretch upper, and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining that keeps you protected on varied terrain and in changeable conditions. A generous rubber rand offers additional protection from rock edges and scree. The shoe offers a precise fit, encloses your foot securely, gives it support and is comfortable the first time you put it on. SALEWA's proprietary, patented 3F System incorporates a steel cable to provide firm ankle support and lateral stability, while the Flex Collar gives the ankle more room to move backwards and increases comfort on descents. In addition, the adjustable SALEWA® Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) allows you to choose between different insoles and thus tailor the shoe volume to you. The climbing shoe lacing system also allows for individual tightening up to the toes - for better performance on technical terrain. The optimized Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole, offered only by SALEWA®, improves performance and control on a wide variety of mountain terrain. With its special climbing, grip and braking zones and aggressive lug design, it also impresses in wet and muddy conditions.
