Unfortunately, we cannot provide any binding information on this. According to the manufacturer, however, it is most likely not possible to open the tailgate of the VW Caddy when the Thule VeloCompact is folded down, as the tailgate is very large in comparison. Unfortunately, we do not have a compatibility list, as it also depends on how high or which towbar is installed.
In this case, both products are designed for two bikes. However, the product data is stored differently. Thank you for pointing this out. We have forwarded this for checking.
According to our information, 3 e-bikes will only fit if the total weight is adhered to.
The product is designed for 3 bikes, with a maximum total load of 60 kg and a maximum of 25 kg per bike. In practice, this is often too tight for 3 e-bikes.
No, with the Thule VeloCompact (926002), a towbar carrier, you cannot open the tailgate of the VW California T6.1 when the carrier is lowered. The angle of inclination is not large enough on this model, which is why the tailgate is blocked. For models with tailgate opening, please choose another carrier such as the Thule 929 or VeloSpace XT.
Hello, no, this bike carrier is not compatible with a Fix4Bike hitch. There is a specific Thule VeloCompact F model designed exclusively for Fix4Bike hooks.
The buckles are 55cm apart, so I was told that children's bikes with a wheelbase of 75cm or more could be fitted.
Unfortunately I don't have such small bikes to try. The smallest I have fitted without any problems had a wheelbase of 90cm.
Hello Nicole
It's best to go to an auto electrician's workshop or car garage. The cable is sold by the metre but you need someone who can connect it properly.
Greetings Ernst
The key for Thule bike racks can be easily replaced. Simply look at the reference number on the lock cylinder of the bike carrier and select the corresponding replacement key, e.g. at Bikester.

Bicycle carrier should work with any car as it is installed on the trailer hitch. Just make sure you have a 9 or 13 pin electrical connector. What I find great about this bike carrier is the feature that when you switch on the car's alarm indicators and then the electrical contact of the bike carrier, the bike carrier automatically runs through a test programme for all lights. Very practical.
Hello,
Yes, with bikes it's a bit tight... I have to protect the fork and chain stay if necessary. Also with the 1st bike (to the car) with handlebar widths over 80cm I have to turn it away sometimes. But otherwise it is a great carrier... I don't know of a better one!
