The OpenFire pans are made from a unique 3-layer sandwich material, consisting of an aluminum core with stainless steel on the top and bottom of the pan. Aluminum has unmatched thermal conductivity and weighs much less than steel. Stainless steel, on the other hand, is easy to clean, hygienic, and resistant to scratches and corrosion. This combination reduces the weight by 35% compared to steel and offers much better heat distribution than traditional steel pans.

The pan has a slight indentation in the center—perfect for frying or sautéing. The inner edges of the pan are slightly rounded, making it easier to flip pancakes, meat, and more. On the sides, two handles allow for optimal positioning of the pan over the fire. The legs are screwed into special eyelets that do not get clogged with grease or soot. The legs themselves are also made of stainless steel and feature a special thread that protects against damage. The rectangular cross-section of the legs provides better stability for mounting and dismounting.
