Petzl Meteor

The lightweight, compact Meteor helmet from Petzl, designed for climbing, mountaineering, and ski touring, features excellent ventilation and provides great comfort in both summer and winter. Its head-hugging design ensures increased protection across the entire head area, even against lateral impacts and blows. The In-Mold construction of the Meteor is responsible for optimal all-around protection. The outer shell, made of thin polycarbonate, prevents the penetration of sharp objects during rockfall, while also protecting the inner shell made of injected EPS foam. The thick inner shell absorbs impact energy from objects or falls through deformation, distributing it in such a way that pressure is not concentrated on the head. Thanks to this design, the Meteor is extremely versatile for mountain sports and even meets the CE certification for ski touring helmets. Specifically for this purpose, it can be combined with ski goggles or a visor. Please note that the Meteor does not meet the requirements of the helmet standard EN 1077 for alpine skiers.
