The clipless Vibram sole Fort Augustus was developed to improve traction and braking with unrivalled grip on wet and dry surfaces. The EVA midsole reduces weight and improves shock absorption. The thermo-welded layer construction offers maximum protection with reduced thickness and weight. The small TPU insert makes the shoes highly abrasion-resistant and protects against repeated impacts. The dual closure with Velcro strap and our SLW3 controls pressure on the instep to avoid unnecessary pressure points and heat build-up when riding. This combination works perfectly on the entire foot: the SLW3 dial closes the shoes from the centre instep to the toes, while the Velcro strap secures the upper back of the foot. The upper and tongue are reinforced with ripstop to increase durability and allow the shoes to be worn in all conditions. The tongue has a thin padding that offers maximum comfort even on longer rides. The heel area is designed to mould to your heel to prevent slipping and ensure a precise fit at all times.
