Without altering the DNA of the kite, it has been designed to feel smoother, lighter, faster, and even more predictable in unpredictable conditions. For 2023, the Orbit feels even more responsive in all conditions. Small structural refinements have been made to smooth the canopy and optimize the profile for less drag, faster forward speed, and smoother turning. A slightly refined scale means the kite feels more stable and forgiving in overpowered, gusty conditions while still retaining its ability to fly forward and catch you in kiteloops. The overall weight of the kite has been reduced with lighter bladders in larger sizes, and a new two-layer canopy material reinforcement has been introduced at the trailing edge. The lighter the kite, the faster it steers, the more lift it generates, and the higher you can jump. The leading edge and struts are constructed from lighter N-Dure Dacron to save significant weight without compromising strength or durability. Additionally, two extra bar pressure options have been introduced, allowing you to choose from a lighter, more forgiving feel in cruise mode to ultra-direct steering with a shorter depower stroke in megaloop mode. This new fourth setting gives you the confidence to loop the kite even deeper, making it ideal for heavier riders on smaller kites.
