The Movit acupressure mat Tuina incl. cushion & bag is based on the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). For more than 5000 years acupressure has been used to relax body and mind. TCM describes certain acupressure points that are located on so-called meridians. According to TCM, meridians are the channels in the human body through which the life energy Qi flows. It is further believed that if the meridians are blocked, the Qi can no longer flow unrestrictedly and the person becomes ill as a result. By stimulating certain acupressure points, the blockages in the meridians should be released so that the Qi can flow freely again and the person subsequently becomes healthy again.
