Product details
The brand new Speciale Strada impresses with its frame/fork set made from chromoly tubes in classic Molteni orange and rolls smoothly over the asphalt on grippy 26C tires. It combines the stylish look of the 70s with the reliable and buttery smooth-shifting Campagnolo Veloce group. And you don't even need to break the bank for it.
Faliero Masi founded Cicli Masi in 1926 in Milan. Thanks to his career as a professional cyclist, he knew exactly how a truly great racing bike should feel, and his name quickly became synonymous with top-notch Italian custom frames from Milan in the 1950s. Faliero was known by the nickname "The Tailor (il sarto)" for his ability to create the optimal bike for every rider. Thus, big names like Merckx, Coppi, Gimondi, and Anquetil had contracts with other brands, but often a Masi classic was hidden beneath the paint.
Even today, where over 90 years of Italian cycling tradition merge with the latest technology and Californian zest for life, the Masi brand brings bikes to the market that are uniquely rooted in history and deliver the riding experience that Faliero aimed for with every frame in his workshop at the Vigorelli Velodrome in Milan and later in California – the perfect ride feel.
