Product details

HMS carabiner with a safety mechanism to prevent accidental cross-loading. The further development of the popular safety carabiner impresses with an improved design, higher breaking strength, and reduced weight. What remains is double safety with simple handling. The screw lock can only be operated when the safety gate is also opened. Accidental opening is just as excluded as unintentional twisting of the carabiner in the safety loop of the harness. This prevents dangerous cross-loading. For the Smart 2.0 belay device, Mammut recommends using the Smart HMS 2.0 carabiner.
