Mammut Magic Sling

The Magic Sling 12.0 is produced using an innovative manufacturing process – a core made of round-wound Dyneema yarn is encased in an abrasion-resistant sheath. The result is an ultra-robust round sling that does not require a load-bearing connection seam. Due to its special construction, the Magic Sling 12.0 exhibits significantly higher knot strength compared to conventional webbing slings. Additionally, the core-sheath design (load-bearing core and protective sheath) makes the sling much less susceptible to damaging UV radiation, and its tensile strength remains unaffected by abrasion from rough rock. Therefore, the Magic Sling 12.0 offers the utmost safety when building anchors or as a girth hitch sling. The sheath construction of the sling has been revised for the summer season of 2019, making the Magic Sling 12.0 softer and more flexible.
