Product details
The Mammut 8.0 Alpine Core Protect Dry Rope is a highly advanced climbing rope specifically designed for alpine and mountainous environments. With a length of 70 meters and a diameter of 8.0 mm, it offers an optimal balance between handling and weight efficiency. The innovative Alpine Core construction provides a robust core that is protected by a special sheath treatment, increasing abrasion resistance against rock and ice. Thanks to the Dry treatment, the rope remains effective even in wet conditions, as it is water-repellent and prevents water ingress. A middle mark facilitates identification during rappelling and belaying, while the contrasting pattern enhances visibility in low light conditions. The dynamic elongation properties of the rope ensure controlled energy absorption during falls, which increases safety. Weighing approximately 52 g per meter, the rope is lightweight yet durable, making it ideal for demanding multi-pitch routes and glacier crossings.
- Alpine Core construction for increased abrasion resistance
- Dry treatment for water-repellent properties
- Middle mark for easy identification
- Dynamic elongation for controlled energy absorption.
