The Theory is an indoor climbing shoe designed for a perfect fit to the shapes of holds and the volume of indoor climbing. Its extreme sensitivity and high dynamics allow for unique adaptability to edges, making the shoe ideal for indoor use. The development of the Theory is based on a study by La Sportiva's R&D department on the gripping behavior of gorillas and the sensitivity of cat paws, combined with insights into the evolution of new climbing routes in gyms characterized by very wide volumes and extremely dynamic movements. This shoe is designed to unleash maximum power and skill while maintaining the highest sensitivity on any type of hold. The new construction with exclusive D-Tech™ technology (Dynamic Technology) wraps around the shoe laterally to eliminate side edges, ensuring dynamic foot placements and adaptability to the shapes of the most modern indoor holds. The sole, made from a blend of Vibram® XS-Grip2 with differentiated thicknesses at the toe, supports grip on edges, while the heel with reduced volume allows for maximum precision during heel hooks. The rubber toe covers 90% of the front surface of the shoe to assist with toe hooks while maintaining adaptability to various foot shapes. The entire construction of the shoe facilitates pressure application on the volume of modern indoor route setting and stability during cross-steps, while the upper Velcro strap allows for optimal tension regulation.
