The fabric used for the classic rug is a polyester microfiber that feels soft and cotton-like. The microfiber has a peach-like texture, making it very soft, yet it stays in place under other rugs without rubbing. The fiber filling provides a good insulating layer, as it retains body heat while remaining breathable. This creates a heat cocoon around the horse without making it feel damp.

The Under Rug can be combined with our stable blankets or outdoor blankets. The microfiber keeps the underlay in place, even when rolled up or combined with others. The fit has been tested by professionals and found to be good.

The Under Rug Classic is machine washable at 30 degrees. We recommend washing the mat once a month. The best results are achieved by drying the mat at a low temperature with tennis balls to maintain the pockets.
