Product details
The Karakoram Prime Nomad + Split Interface Men is brand new for the 2021 season. It replaces the Prime SL and is a remarkable 50 g lighter. Among the Karakoram splitboard bindings, the Nomad features the softest flex and is suitable for any splitboard adventure, from after-work sessions to expeditions.
Highback
The stiff Reactive Highback offers an optimized balance between stiffness and weight, ensuring precise control. To fully enjoy the Karakoram technology while splitboarding, the Prime Nomad features the Dual Ride-Stride Forward Lean, allowing you to switch the highback from walk to ride mode in seconds.
Baseplate
The Nomad comes with the well-known X-Type chassis, which allows the board to flex naturally. The Active Joining Technology with extra-wide contact points provides unmatched response. The Power Link, a lever mechanism located under the heel, makes it incredibly easy to switch the binding from tour mode to ride mode and back. Since the lever is ergonomically designed for the binding, you only need a simple hand motion to release and reinsert the binding from the touring brackets. A small lever additionally activates the Heel Lock.
Straps
The AirPod Ankle Straps focus on the essentials. Without any frills, these straps prioritize comfort and support while keeping weight to a minimum.
