Jagwire shift cable outer housings are the first choice for many major bicycle manufacturers worldwide. They rely on the proven Jagwire combination of premium quality, reliable durability, and outstanding performance. The outer housings made from lead-free PVC meet all international standards regarding material properties and chemical composition. In addition to a wide selection of colors, Jagwire shift cable outer housings are available in two different quality levels.

LEX: The standard quality LEX consists of a two-part casing for maximum durability, linear strands of steel, and an unlubricated liner.

LEX-SL: In addition to the features of the LEX outer housings, the LEX-SL is equipped with a Slick-Lube liner. Slick-Lube is a lubricant that is integrated into the liner along the entire length of the outer housing, significantly reducing the friction of the inner cable.

For even better and longer-lasting performance, Jagwire recommends using Hooded End Caps in areas with heavy contamination.
