The new outsole features a positive profile in the front and rear areas, providing solid traction when you are pushing or carrying your bike. In contrast, the negative profile in the midsection offers perfect grip for the pins while riding. Additionally, the rubber compound has been updated to provide even more grip. While embracing innovations, ION has not forgotten the tried-and-true elements, incorporating a comfortable EVA midsole and a cozy insole. Since grip is not the only factor for optimal power transfer, the Scrub features a flatter profile in the toe area, increasing contact with the pedal. ION has learned that a good bike shoe is not just about grip; it also emphasizes toe protection against stones and roots, as well as ankle protection thanks to ankle pads and an asymmetrical shaft.
