The new outsole features a positive profile at the front and rear, providing solid support when pushing or carrying your bike. In contrast, the negative profile in the middle section offers perfect grip for the pins while riding. Additionally, the rubber compound has been updated to provide even more grip. While innovations are important, ION has not forgotten the tried-and-true ingredients, incorporating a comfortable EVA midsole and a cozy insole. Since grip is not the only element for optimal power transfer, the Scrub features a flatter profile in the toe area, which increases contact with the pedal. ION has learned that a good bike shoe is not just about grip; it also focuses on protecting the toes from stones and roots, as well as the ankles with ankle pads and an asymmetrical shaft.
