To transform the reversible Swagman Roll into a sleeping bag, simply zip up the edges. It also pairs well with our U.S. Model poncho. Optionally, you can secure the waist with buckles, allowing the material to fit closer to your body, similar to an emergency jacket. The reversible Swagman Roll is perfect for camping, in the car, or as part of your BOB emergency backpack. This version of our classic Swagman Roll poncho features an additional benefit: it is double-sided, allowing you to better adapt your look to your surroundings. In the past, trappers, soldiers, and swagmen (slang in Australia for hired itinerant workers) kept warm with rolled-up wool blankets. Over time, these blankets were replaced with synthetic liners that also served as rain protection when paired with the poncho.
