Hanwag Waxenstein Organic Lady Shoes

The Hanwag Waxenstein Bio is a mid-cut shoe made from chrome-free tanned leather, offering a comfortable fit. This shoe is suitable for everyday wear, leisure activities, and walks on well-maintained paths, as well as light hiking in flat terrain.

The stiffness of the sole, the drop (how rounded the sole is to allow for good rolling), and the shaft construction primarily determine how a model is categorized. For this reason, you will find categories A-B-C-D for each model. This gives you an idea of how stiff the shoe is.

D = very stiff and fully crampon-compatible (step-in/automatic crampons).
C = stiff and conditionally crampon-compatible (strap-on/semi-automatic crampons).
B = firm support and solid, yet flexible sole for trekking and hiking.
A = soft, very well-flexing construction.
