Hanwag Waxenstein Organic Lady Shoes

The Hanwag Waxenstein Bio is a mid-cut shoe made from chrome-free tanned leather, offering a comfortable wearing experience. The shoe is suitable for everyday use, leisure activities, and walks on well-maintained paths, as well as light hiking in flat terrain.

The stiffness of the sole, the drop (how rounded the sole is to allow for a smooth roll), and the shaft construction determine how a model is positioned within the categories. For this reason, you will find categories A-B-C-D for each model, giving you an idea of how stiff the shoe is.

D = very stiff and fully crampon-compatible (step-in/automatic crampons).
C = stiff and conditionally crampon-compatible (strap-on/semi-automatic crampons).
B = firm support and solid, yet flexible sole for trekking and hiking.
A = soft, very well-flexing construction.
