The Klarsby Low Bunion Lady GTX is a lightweight shoe designed with a last optimized by Hanwag for women with Hallux Valgus. The bunion last provides more space for the big toe joint and the toes in general, as the misaligned big toe often shifts the other toes as well. To give the toes more upward space, the toe box of the Klarsby Low Bunion is padded, elevated, and slightly wider. Additionally, the entire forefoot area, including the rock guard, is free of seams, protecting the sensitive big toe joint from pressure and chafing pain. In terms of features, the synthetic and leather hiking shoe impresses as well. Thanks to the integrated GORE-TEX membrane, it is waterproof, and the sole construction combines a springy walking sensation with a wide contact area and excellent grip. Notably, the increased bending stiffness in the forefoot reduces the range of motion of the MTP joint during the rolling process, ensuring pain-free walking. The adaptive Ghilly lacing provides comfortable support: during the rolling motion, the flexible textile loops adjust to the movement, allowing for a more natural foot movement.
