Usage

The leather bit is made from special leather. With proper care, it conforms to the anatomy of the horse's mouth, creating a soft and very friendly contact. The chin strap attached to the leather bit secures it in the correct position in the horse's mouth.

Before the first use, the bit must be soaked in sunflower oil for 15 minutes. After the oil has been absorbed, place the leather bit in the horse's mouth on the bars and adjust the chin strap so that there is a finger's width between the strap buckle and the chin. After about 15 minutes, the fit should be checked again and adjusted if necessary. This is important because the horse's chewing will soften the leather and allow it to take the shape of the horse's mouth.

The so-called Indian riding involves riding with only one secured leather bit and reins. It is recommended to apply this only after the bit has conformed to the anatomy of the horse's mouth.

The bit should always be used for the same horse. For proper care of the bit, it is recommended to regularly soak it in sunflower oil. Never use leather grease or oil! Clean the leather bit after each use with water and a soft brush.

Both in training horses and in the learning process of inexperienced riders, a leather bit, when used correctly, can provide good service due to its softness.
