Innovative brake assistant for more safety and comfort. The compact Ohmega, which weighs just 190 g, is a brake assistant with a wide range of uses and for a broad target group. It offers real added value in terms of safety and comfort, both for the climber and the belayer, in the gym and on rock as well as on alpine sport climbing routes (with single rope). This benefits beginners, experienced climbers and professionals as well as rope teams with and without weight differences. The integrated Hmpe sling allows three braking levels to be set with a single movement, depending on the weight distribution. The integrated pulley ensures that the friction generated at the first intermediate belay is lower than when using an express sling, which means that the Ohmega is not felt when climbing or clipping, even on long and difficult routes. The short Hmpe sling and the resulting minimal activation distance make it easier for the belayer to belay dynamically and softly, which reduces the risk of impact injuries. In the event of a fall, the clamping cam brakes the fall, supporting the belayer and equalising the weight difference in the event of a fall. This means that the person being secured is not pulled upwards in an uncontrolled manner in the event of a long fall. In the case of falls close to the ground, the Ohmega's braking effect reduces both the risk of a collision between climbing partners and the risk of ground falls. The Ohmega also brakes reliably if the climber falls directly into the device. Simple, lightweight, additional safety and comfort for both climbing partners - the Ohmega opens up possibilities and turns belaying into a completely new experience.
