The Low Tech 88 impresses in alpine terrain and in all snow conditions as a lightweight and versatile high-end speed touring ski.
Weighing just 1,080 g (165 cm) with a mid-width of 88 mm, the Low Tech 88 is DYNAFIT's lightest all-round ski. This model is designed for ambitious, fast ski tourers seeking a lightweight, manageable companion for technically demanding terrain that performs well in all snow conditions. The ski is technically perfectly tuned, elegantly designed, and focused on the essentials: speed.
The Low Tech 88 features a 100% UD carbon top sheet. UD stands for unidirectional and refers to the arrangement of the carbon fibers. Compared to traditional carbon, this construction offers higher tensile strength and load capacity while maintaining a lower weight. The Low Tech 88 is equipped with a core made of 100% high-quality Paulownia wood. Thanks to the 3D construction, the swing weight in front of and behind the binding area is reduced, thus lowering the overall weight of the ski. This results in extremely stable riding characteristics despite the light weight.
The rocker construction at the tip and tail and the sidecut are adapted to the respective ski length – a unique feature in the touring ski market. This ensures that the effective edge length remains proportional across all lengths and functions independently of the ski length. To provide you with the best possible power transfer to the ski, the Low Tech is equipped with a full ABS sidewall. Additionally, the base has a special race grind for even more speed.
