The new Beast 108 ski has been developed for powder specialists. Compared to its predecessor from the winter of 19/20, the wooden core has been further optimized for weight (-100 g), and a completely new surface has been created. This surface utilizes nanotechnology to reduce snow accumulation on the ski, resulting in less weight. The developers focused on performance during descents: the continuous ABS sidewall and the ash wood core provide edge stability and torsional stiffness. Nevertheless, the ski weighs 1,660 grams (at 181 cm length) and functions as a touring ski for medium to long ascents. This means the developers have prioritized weight reduction without compromising on ride characteristics – for example, by using high-quality materials and reducing the top sheet.
