With the Dragon Cams, DMM has launched a two-axis active cam device that offers a constant camming angle of 13.75° for optimal grip and is equipped with an extendable 8mm Dyneema sling, allowing for flexible use with just one additional carabiner. The Welsh company has designed its Dragon Cams with four hot-forged cam lobes, with the cam lobes mounted on two axes. This makes the mobile belay devices slightly heavier at first glance compared to single-axis cams, but the camming range in double-axis systems is significantly larger. The operation is comfortable and precise, and as always, the hot-forged quality "made in Wales" is impressive.
