The Cressi King is an extremely advanced computer for freediving, combining intuitive design with innovative safety algorithms. It has been developed for the specific needs of freedivers and spearfishers, using the Cressi Taravana algorithm for risk reduction, which allows the user to choose from eight different repetition settings between dives. The algorithm takes into account dive time, depth, water temperature, and previous dives, recommending safe surface recovery times to prevent the occurrence of Taravana, a serious condition where nitrogen bubbles can form in the bloodstream and tissues. From a setting of double dive time (L1) to five times dive time (L8), this feature allows the user to select the safety level that best fits their dive planning and physical condition on that day. The Cressi algorithm for edema protection helps reduce the risk of pulmonary edema and hemoptysis. It enables the diver to set a maximum dive depth, which in turn initiates a series of progressive warm-up dives. These warm-up dives allow the body to acclimatize and prepare for deeper dives, optimizing blood flow to protect the lungs from strain and minimize the risk of injury. With a stainless steel bezel and a robust silicone-polyamide strap, the King is designed for dive depths of up to 120 meters.
