The Crankbrothers Mallet clip-in shoe performs well on the racetrack and in the bike park. An innovative Match system optimizes the engagement for every MTB clip-in system, whether Crankbrothers or SPD. It comes with a Match shim and Crankbrothers cleat pre-installed in a neutral position, so you are ready to ride with Crankbrothers pedals straight out of the box.
Purpose: MTB. Ventilated zones with perforated mesh material for breathability. Padded tongue for extra protection with a storage compartment for laces. TPU-reinforced areas for additional protection and abrasion resistance. Rubber nubs in the heel area for optimized heel grip. Hidden eyelets for increased protection and a clean design. Match Box ramp with angled sides for easy clipping in and out, as well as better self-cleaning properties.
Race Zone with a 5 mm offset of the cleat position backward for stability and control. Stiff shaft for optimal power transfer. MC1 rubber compound with medium friction hardness for easy entry and exit. Directionally arranged, open sole profile in the toe and heel areas for grip during ascent and descent. Raised toe area for comfortable walking. Fit: regular cut.
