Climbing Technology Alpine-Up Kit Belay Device
Product details
Alpine Up is the most complete and versatile belay and rappel device ever made. It is suitable for use in the mountains with half ropes, twin ropes, or single ropes. The device is extremely versatile, allowing rappelling with twin ropes in self-locking mode and offering three types of belaying depending on the environment.
The Click Up Mode (assisted manual braking) allows for the protection of the lead climber on sport multi-pitch routes (bolt and glue-in anchors), rappelling with twin ropes in self-locking mode using the locking snap, and provides absolute safety even when the rope is incorrectly threaded.
The Dynamic Mode (manual braking) allows for the protection of the lead climber on alpine climbing routes and ice climbs (protection with friends, nuts, and pitons). It offers effective and modulated braking with V-shaped braking grooves similar to a tube and rappelling with twin ropes.
The rescue mode allows for independent and self-locking intermediate protection for one or two seconds, the possibility of unlocking, and progressive rappelling of a second climber under tension by inserting a quickdraw into the corresponding opening.
Alpine Up comes with the special HMS Concept SGL HC carabiner, which is anodized for wear resistance and features the ACL system, which increases the breaking load of the lower axis.
